The ISSA AGM will take place on Monday the 2nd of April at 7:30pm at Race.

Irish Stablestaff Association Awards 2012
Awards will take place in the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge on March 3rd 2012. There will be awards presented on the night, both National Hunt and Flat from around Ireland. The closing date for nominations is February 10th 2012.
Nomination forms are available from the ISA office 045-531911, committee members, the Irish Field, in our December newsletter and on our website. We would encourage stablestaff to nominate people they feel are deserving of an award through their hard work and dedication to the industry.

Wage Agreement
It was agreed to leave the minimum wage at €9.75c per hour while the travel expenses will also remain the same as the '09/'11 period. Overtime rates are time and one third(€13.00) for all hours worked over 39 hours, time and two thirds(€16.24) for time worked on a Sunday and double time (€19.50) for time worked on a bank holiday.

The subsistence rates are €44.81 for 10 hours outside the yard and €18.28 for hours not less than five

Can My Employers Stop my Bonus Pay? No
Failure to pay all or part of the wages due to an employee is considered a deduction and a complaint can be made under the Payment of Wages Act. Likewise unpaid notice, holiday pay, bonus and commission payments can also form part of a claim under the Act.
